Toads, or true toads, as suppose to frogs, are a group of amphibians in the Bufonidae family. They comprise more than 35 genera of which Bufo are being the most common.
Bufos are found all over South Africa. Although I’ve seen many colour variations, these toads can mainly be described as stocky with short legs and horisontal pupils. They are relatively poor jumpers and has thick, dry, warty skins.
